Heads up! The Queen yellowjackets are out and about. Every one that you can kill over the next few weeks will be another nest that won't be established in close proximity.
I'm at 22 and counting just over the last 2 days.
Bug zapper to stun, hive tool to finish the job.

Please read! The bees had a turbulent flight, which shook a lot of syrup out of the feeder cans. Some of the cans I'm pulling are half full, some are COMPLETELY EMPTY!!
If you have not hived your bees yet, absolutely spray sugar syrup on both sides of the package screen IMMEDIATELY! It's better to be safe than sorry. If the can is empty, they can absolutely starve to death overnight.
If you have already hives your bees, please make sure that they're taking in a minimum of 1 pint of syrup every day.

On the way back from Homer now. Soldotna pickups tonight 5:30pm-6:30pm or anytime tomorrow between 8am-7pm.

Holy Moly, we weren't late for anything today! That's definitely a record 😄
Soldotna area pickups are done for tonight so we can get some much needed sleep. We'll be ready and waiting to get you your packages tomorrow 8am-noon, and after 5:30.
Planning to head for Homer tomorrow at noon with stops in Ninilchik and Anchor Point. Will post when I leave.
Don't forget our Beekeeper Potluck the 1st Saturday of June!

All gassed up and pulling out of Anchorage now. We will have a short pickup window for folks who need their packages tonight, but would like pickups to not fo past 7:30pm if possible. Tomorrow morning 8am-12pm works, and after we return from Homer tomorrow hopefully 5ish.
