This is Amy's sister, as many of you know, she helped us out in the tasting room a lot.
Cheryl Christy Phelps, age 52, of Somerset, KY, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Rockcastle Regional Hospital.
Cheryl was born on September 19, 1968 in Detroit, MI to Roy William Osborne and Beatrice Joyce Moses Osborne. She was a 1986 graduate of Pulaski County High School and a 2020 graduate of Asbury College where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design. Cheryl loved photography. She was passionate about Relay for Life and her Jeep family.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Wayne Phelps of Somerset; one son, Stephan Brady (and Brittany) McKee of Somerset; two daughters, Erin Elizabeth McKee of Somerset and Kristen McKee of Somerset; her parents, Roy and Beatrice Osborne of Somerset; two sisters, Kimberly Krista (and Mark) Grogan of Stamping Ground, KY and Amy Annette (and Zane) Burton of Somerset, KY; four grandchildren, Emmalyn Jane McKee, Asher Brady McKee, Daniel Cayde McKee and Elijah Nathan McKee; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and other loved ones; a godson, Dylan Burnette of Girdler, KY; and a wonderful friend who was like a sister, Julie Burnette of Girdler, KY. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 14, 2021 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home. A second visitation will be held on Monday, March 15, 2021 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the funeral home.
Her funeral service will be held on Monday, March 15, 2021 at 1:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Lawson officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to the Pulaski County Humane Society or Somerset Relay for Life.
