Two styles, one stunning stack!

The 6mm polished pink and purple tourmaline bracelet with 14k gold accents has that rich, gathered-from-the-earth look. Pair it with the faceted 4.5mm tourmaline set — two bracelets, one featuring a carved mother of pearl leaf — and you’ve got a stack that looks like it took serious effort to pull together. It didn’t. Ok, so here’s the tea…

A business owner who shall remain nameless has recently succeeded in trademarking a VERY commonly used phrase (“Hot Girls Read”). This phrase is not one that she created. It has been popular for many years, well before she started her business and decided to create merch with that phrase on it. But now she has trademarked it and is telling everyone else that they’re no longer allowed to use it, and this has caused an absolute uproar in the bookish community.

I fully support a business trademarking something that is unique and original to them, but I am very much against frivolously trademarking popular sayings that you didn’t create just so you can be the ONLY person profiting off of them.

Many people are leaving nasty comments on her social media pages or sending her angry messages. I’ve even seen posts by a few different people who are applying to trademark HER business name. I’m not going to do those things. I do think she made a big mistake, but I don’t believe in harassing a person simply because they made a bad decision.

However, I felt inspired to create this sticker, ‘cause sometimes you’re a hot girl and sometimes (especially for those of us around my age and a little older) you’re a girl who is HOT!! 😉
