Hello thrift fans!

I'm not sure I've ever been so active on Facebook. But these are unusual times and I have been actively searching for ways to contribute. Couldn't think of a broader audience.

As you're all aware, the pats are going to the freaking super bowl yet again!

While our hometown team prepares to hang 45 points on that Atlanta defense, I know I'm going to miss watching football this Sunday.

How to fill that void? A super thrift shop giveaway!!!

No strings, no purchase required. We want everyone to come down on Sunday between noon and five to pick out a free coat, jacket, or sweater. The weather has been good to us this winter, but it won't last forever.

Let's celebrate the pats, celebrate each other and all our differences, and be in good cheer. Free stuff will put a smile on the faces of democrats and republicans alike. I will also hint at free beer and potentially live music from fantastic local artists.

Our mission has always been to have fun and make profit. This Sunday, 1/29 from noon until five, I'm going to forget about that profit part and it's fun all the way. Please come on in for some free swag.

This giveaway is inclusive of everyone who walks or rolls through that door. Have four kids who destroy everything they own, and limited funds? Nothing will make us happier than to put a coat on every one of them.

Happy New Year All!

Please read...

This post is a big thank you wrapped in a progress report, with a spicy hint at what's to come. And there is free stuff at the end of it all.

It's been a helluva year....

I moved the company under one roof and opened a much larger retail space.

I doubled our snow removal business.

I was able to continue our history of volunteering and was so lucky to be able to support other small local companies like mine.
The Guy With a Truck Moving Company, which once was nothing more than a Ford pickup some clothesline and a double order of hustle, was voted best of Somerville.

Best of all, I got to meet so many truly amazing people. From those we moved across town to those who browsed our store for ten minutes waiting on a bus. I'm not kidding, helping people and making connections is the reason taking a sleeper sofa full of cat hair up four flights is worth it.

Sadly, 2016 sucked.

We lost grandma bootsie.

We lost Prince.

We lost the ability to separate violence and hatred from politics or difference of opinion.

We lost some great teamates here who are missed.

Professionally, in what appears to be our best year, I did a crappy job. I tried to do too much.

Service to moving clients suffered. I hate that.

Our retail store failed to be open during normal business hours as complications on the moving side pulled staff away from the shop.

Now, if you got this far, to the point - free stuff and the future.

We have some serious organizing to do.

I'm happy to say we are seeking independent vendors to round out our offerings.

This would be your indoor space to use as you wish during the winter while the flea market scene is less attractive.

Developing story, Dave Wells is going to play a set indoors after the sale is over and DJ Jeff Wallace has volunteered to spin some vinyl from his collection and some choice tracks on our shelves. We have thousands of vinyl albums for sale and a solid hip hop section.

If that wasn't enough to get you to check us out, we are going to have an arcade game tournament downstairs!
