Aloha everyone! My name is Neomi. I am a happily married wife and I have a beautiful ambitious daughter that God was gracious to bless us with! I realize that it has been exactly year since I started making tumblers and I have never formally introduced myself. When I started making tumblers and started my page here it was just friends and family and everyone knew me. There is so many new faces here though so this is long overdue.
Like so many of you here, Glittersmacked was born during the pandemic last year when I decided to stay home and homeschool my daughter. I walked away from the stability of my 12 year career as a medical assistant and gave it all to God. I had this loud voice inside telling me to just go for it. I’m so glad I did because it’s been a great outlet for me. It allows me to have my own time and be creative while I also support my family.
I wouldn’t still be here creating beautiful things if it wasn’t for all of you. You are my supporters and your support keeps me going and dreaming. I’m a Island girl so basically if I know you then we are Ohana. So welcome for those who are new and don’t know me. My goal is to show my face more often around here so that you can actually get to know me. I’m not just here to sell you something. I’m just really here to share my aloha with you and hopefully inspire a few of you along the way 💖 Thanks for following me. Your support means everything 🌺🤙🏼

As I learn more and more about this craft I realize there is many ways to get the job done and what works for some doesn’t work for others.

With fabric tumblers I have found this round manual blade to be so helpful. I have more control of my blade this way so that I can get those nice straight lines.

I just used some rolls of tape to get the height I wanted in order to draw my cutting lines. I use a dark colored fabric pen.

How I apply fabric to a tumbler.

I use quick coat from to adhere and seal the fabric. The application is super easy and I feel that it also brightens the colors on the fabric.

Powerful things happen when you start putting in the work to achieve your goals. You become addicted to the progress and fall in love with the process.

When I first started this journey I was not consistent with my social media. I would put a lot of heart into my content and I wasn’t seeing the results I had imagined I would see. I took a break from posting and focused on the craft for awhile because I felt that the time I was putting in to creating content wasn’t producing the likes and follows that I felt I should have received.

I also took sometime to study Instagram and how to create the content that would get my page growing again. What I found was that I was going to have to put my best foot forward and show up everyday. Create everyday. Post everyday. So I made a decision to be consistent and share my journey with you. In less then two months I gained 68 followers. My videos and reels used to get very little views. The growth I am seeing is so exciting. It makes the hours spent on content creation worth it.

So I guess for me my point is that not just in the business life but in your life as a whole if you want to see results consistency really is key 🔑

What makes you excited about your work/craft? For me it’s the ability to just be creative and free. To put my heart into something and the appreciation I receive from it is rewarding every time!
