BIG CHANGES ARE COMING TO GOLD COUNTRY GAMES!

We are officially leveling up our shop and expanding into the space next door. To make the magic happen, we will be closed Sunday, July 12th through Friday, July 17th. The wait will be worth it because we will have a Grand Reopening Celebration when we reopen on Saturday, July 18th @ 4pm. We’ll have a ribbon cutting, a grand tour of the new space, and more! We’ll end the night with our Loki: God of Mischief Commander Event which will start at 6pm.

We are so thankful for our amazing community. None of this would be possible without you all, and we are excited to build an even better Local Game Store to share with you.

We have a packed line up of events at Gold Country Games this week!

It is time for our MTG Marvel Super Heroes Prerelease Weekend. We have four events this weekend including our Two Headed Giant Prerelease on Saturday evening. We still have space available at all four events and we hope you’ll join us to be among the first to assemble your ultimate comic book dream team.

As a reminder, our Lorcana event this week has changed from Pack Rush to Constructed. We will be holding our Pack Rush event next Wednesday 6/24.

We are hosting a very special event tonight at 6PM - it's our Marvel Super Heroes Learn to Play event! This is a free casual event where everyone will receive a free Marvel Super Heroes deck. We'll watch a short video, then pair up and play some game of Magic. If you are curious about the game and want to learn more, this is the perfect event for you. If you have a friend that you want to introduce to the game, this is the perfect time to bring them. This is a casual, non-competitive event where you can learn about the game, ask questions, and get some practice games in.

I need my experienced players to come out tonight as well - we need your help to help teach our new players and grow the community!

Anyone who participates in tonight's event and pre-registers for any of next weekend's pre-release events will receive a Marvel Super Heroes bag as well as a cool Villain coin. If you participate tonight and attend the Saturday evening Two-Headed Giant event, your team will get special Loki horns to wear during the event!

This is going to be a fun night and a great lead in to next weekend's festivities - can't wait to see you here!

MTG Players Assemble! Our Marvel Avengers Academy event is coming up this Friday @ 6pm. This is a FREE Learn to Play event.

All players will receive a Marvel themed Welcome Deck featuring iconic charcaters from the Marvel Universe. We will go over the basics of the game and then play a few rounds. This event is perfect for newer players and is a great way to step into the world of MTG Marvel Super Heroes before our prerelease weekend which will take place 6/19-6/21.
