Heads up, friends. BFF Bakery is adjusting their hours for the summer and will not be open on Saturdays. That means no Hummingbird event this coming Saturday, June 6.

I’m figuring out next steps, weighing options, and thinking through how best to keep the momentum of these gatherings we’ve all come to look forward to. Stay tuned, and thank you for your patience as I sort this out.

Tomorrow! Join us for Social Sip & Stitch at La Belle Vie Charcuterie, 233 N Hill St, from 5-8pm.

Bring whatever you’re working on, or just come to say hello (we love seeing new friends!).

If you plan to order from the cafe, Monica would appreciate texting your order to 574-340-2023 so she can get it ready in advance - then she’ll have more time to stitch with us, too! 😀

Oops. 😬 I got my holiday weekends mixed up and did not realize that BFF Bakery is closed THIS Saturday (May 23) for Memorial Day weekend. But the good news is that we will be back there NEXT Saturday (May 30), 9am to noon, for the morning Sip & Stitch we’ve come to look forward to!

Plus, I’ll have the June calendar and a preview of some fun new project kits. See you then! And happy holiday weekend!

Saturday's Learn to Cross Stitch class at BFF Bakery was lovely! 🍓 Heather J was patient, encouraging, and genuinely wonderful — and look at that pincushion she made as our inspiration piece. I'm super motivated to make my own, even though I am starting my own project over (I forgot my reading glasses and had some trouble seeing what I was doing...and it shows. But we can always start over, and speed is not the point here).

More classes coming this summer — stay tuned. In the meantime, join us this Wednesday, May 20, 5–8pm at La Belle Vie for our Social Sip & Stitch. I'll see you there - and will remember my glasses this time so I can see my stitches, too. 🤓

This Saturday at BFF Bakery: Learn to Cross Stitch! 🍓

🧵 9am–noon — free drop-in social sip & stitch, as always. Bring any project, or just come hang. There's room for everyone, even if you're not taking the class.

🍓 10am — Learn to Cross Stitch class with Heather! $30, all materials and instruction included (pattern, floss, hoop & needle).

Here's where to find Hummingbird this month! Every other Wednesday evening at La Belle Vie, Saturday mornings at BFF Bakery, and a new Learn to Cross Stitch class on May 16 for those of you who've been asking for one!

All Social Sip & Stitch gatherings are free and drop-in, with refreshments available for purchase from our cafe partners. Bring a project, bring a fiber-curious friend, or just bring your gorgeous self. Browse our inventory and enjoy the company of the friendliest makers in town!
