Christmas has come early to Chatham!
The Town of Chatham is thrilled to announce that Chatham has been selected as one of 25 finalists in the running to become “Hallmark’s Merriest Christmas Town” in a nationwide contest in celebration of the Hallmark Channel’s 25th birthday.
The Merriest Christmas Towns Contest celebrates communities across America that embody the warmth, connection, holiday traditions and spirit of generosity associated with the Hallmark Christmas experience. Chatham’s selection recognizes that there is something particularly special about our community during the holiday season.
From Santas arrival at the Fish Pier through the Christmas by the Sea Stroll activities, from festive twinkling lights along Main Street to the beloved buoy tree, Christmas in Chatham captures our town’s character and spirit.
The Town extends its sincere appreciation to everyone who helped put Chatham in the national spotlight by submitting nominations and sharing what makes Christmas in Chatham so special. Special thanks go to Town of Chatham staff; Chatham Bars Inn; the Chatham Chamber of Commerce and Merchants Association; and Amy Tagliaferri for their nominations.
Their submissions helped tell Chatham’s story and showcase the traditions, community spirit and seaside charm that make the Town such a memorable place to celebrate the holidays.
Now Chatham Needs Your Vote!
Being selected is only the beginning. The public can now help Chatham go all the way by voting in Hallmark’s Merriest Christmas Towns Contest.
Residents, business owners, visitors, friends and everyone who loves Chatham are encouraged to cast their ballot for Chatham, Massachusetts through Hallmark Channel’s contest webpage. Supporters are encouraged to vote daily and to spread the word to family, friends and fellow Chatham fans across the country
Voting is open August 14 through September 4, 2026. Participants may cast one vote per person, per day during the public voting period.
