It is not about the loss of this icon, but the emotions around the impact he had on my connection to the world of Cinema. Set aside time to reflect on this great man and clear your mind of the other news of the day.

Big fan of Oscar Season, so I excitedly watched The Substance today. NOT a film for everybody (remember Poor Things?). Totally captivated by Demi Moore. Outrageous campiness by Dennis Quaid. Amazingly unique camera shots & techniques. However, the last quarter of the movie explored more gore than Re-animator, The Fly, Cemetary Man…
Failed allegory by being SO over the top, but watch out for this Director. She sure was bold. Great new subgenre for me, (the queen of micro categorizing), Body Horror has never hit the awards season quite like this! And it’s won awards, just to warn you! go to Substance 2024 Oscar movie!

I remember the impact this movie had on me when I saw it in the theater the first time. My family’s roots in the world of sports, and my difficult relationship with my own Dad had me in tears. How did it make you feel when you saw this movie?

The classic movie continues to capture people's imaginations as Dyersville, Iowa, gets set to host a Major League Baseball game Thursday night.

A cathartic day today when I put hundreds of movie posters in the dump recycling. Even the attendant couldn’t help but pull some out to peak. Hey! No trash picking. There were so many memories that I got a little choked up.
