My name is Jeff Maurus and I am the owner, operator, and creative design guru for MI Racks. I started this business after endless searching for a rack to hang my race medals from because they were piling up in my closet. I wanted to display them proudly because I had worked and trained hard for them. When I was unable to find what I was looking for I decided try to construct my own. My finished pr

oduct was shown to a race buddy of mine and he took a liking to it. From there the idea of MI Racks was born. MI Racks evolved from plain stained racks to painted customized racks to custom cut racks. While taking a break one day at a local brewery with my wife, I was sampling some beverages at a local brewery on a beer flight paddle discussing options for MI Racks when I came up with the idea to take my Michigan mitten design and modify it, turning it into a flight paddle for sampling beverages at home or at get togethers. At that moment MI Beer Flight was born.
