Ohana Roots Traditional Craft and Wilderness Camp

Ohana Roots Traditional Craft and Wilderness Camp “Ohana speaks to the concept of a larger family that is not necessarily connected by blood. An ohana is special.

A person’s ohana can include their best friends, neighbors, or anyone else who is special in their life. The people within it are bound together by genuine compassion, culture, support, loyalty, and love for each other.”

We are working towards creating an Ohana, a place where people can come to learn new skills while immersed in nature! Check out our seedling offerings, our weekly farm stand updates, and class/ workshop schedule at www.OhanaRootsMaine.com

More magic for Ohana Roots Maine! Yesterday due to the massive generosity of our supporters, we acquired a giant gas kiln! I have been wanting a gas kiln since I graduated from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and was spoiled by their hanger with multiple gas kilns! We are so excited to add this to our studio and be able to build so many classes and workshops around it! Stay tuned for more updates as Dragon fly studio gets ready to open this fall! Dreams really do come true, stay the course!

One thing I love most about living off grid is innovating weird ways to get jobs done. Everyday posses a new problem then we put our heads together to come up with a solution. Most of the time, we have to think way out of the box, so far out of the box that we through the box away😂 we actually joked about making a show called “ Eh, we’ll figure it out” This is our new “boom” crane at the metal shop to lift heavy things! Made from a repurposed boom from a sailboat.
