I’m in my fig era. 🌿😄

The tree is overflowing, so I’ve been paying attention—and getting creative:

🍯 Fig & goat cheese crostini with honey + basil
🍳 Fig, onion & basil omelette
🍗 Garlic-roasted chicken with caramelized figs + onions
🥪 Turkey, provolone, fig, olives + arugula on sourdough

A little reminder that when you slow down and notice what’s growing around you, nature can inspire all kinds of things.

Maybe the best vacation photos are the ones you never take. ❤️

We just got back from a short getaway to Asbury Park, and I’m happy to report that I don’t have many pictures to share. We relaxed. We laughed. We ate really good food. We beached. We swam. We played billiards at the hotel. We got ice cream on the boardwalk. And honestly? That’s kind of the point.

We stayed at the chic and lovely The Asbury , but the best part of the trip wasn’t the hotel or the beach or anything we did. It was simply having some uninterrupted downtime with my husband and our two growing kids.

Because I’m painfully aware that these days won’t last forever. My oldest son will very likely head off to college in three years. Three years. 😭

So I’m trying to soak it all up—the ordinary moments, the laughs, the lazy mornings, the time together when nobody has anywhere else to be.

Funny how a life can take an unexpected turn.

A few years ago, I never would have imagined that a hobby would become a book, a business, speaking events, and a whole new chapter I’m building for myself.

There have been plenty of moments of doubt (and definitely some things that scared me), but there have also been so many moments that made me think, *wow… I’m really doing this.*

I have no idea where this journey is going. But I’m having a pretty great time finding out!
