While he was out here to speak at this year's FAIR Conference, Walker Wright got to sit down with the Informed Saints crew and talk about his new book Nourishing the Roots: Seeking the Foundations of Latter-day Testimony.

Walker takes a faith crisis apart from the bottom up — existence, intelligibility, morality, consciousness, God, the Resurrection, and the gold plates — and closes with the story of losing his sister at 11 and the years of atheism that followed.

Great article by Jasmin Rappleye in the Deseret News, about the changes in Latter-day Saint Sunday meeting structure that officially begin today.

"For a millennial like me, who grew up with three hours of consecutive Sunday meetings, a church schedule can feel almost doctrinal — even canonical. Sacrament meeting, Sunday School, Primary, Young Women, Relief Society and priesthood quorums came to be simply the immutable recipe of what 'church' was.

Then I started looking backward, studying the history of church meeting configurations. Soon enough, I discovered that change may be the most consistent thing about the schedule of meetings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The structure that felt unalterable turned out to be younger than many people sitting in our pews."
