Marketing on Facebook is a game that I am trying to figure out.

One day ago I posted these pictures of this pumpkin pie plate - I devoted a whole post to it. Only 10 people “liked” it and no one commented that they wanted it.

Tonight I posted this pie plate again in a group photo of a lot of pie plates and I’ve had 4 people ask me to hold it for them.

Isn’t that interesting?

I’ll have to look at the time I posted the first time and today at 5:00. Maybe the timing of a post is important?

Marketing is so interesting.

Thanks to one of our customers, Maya, for sending us this story about a match Pattie’s Waggin’ Tails Senior Sanctuary did with a senior dog and a 94 year old man.

Maya just adopted a rescue dog from this sanctuary.

We had another customer in today who may have to put her 10 year old dog companion down soon. Lots of tears when you lose your best friend.

Maya dealt with the loss of her dog by adopting a senior dog and it helps her get over her loss of her dog, Joy.

I’m hoping that our other customer realizes too that she has way too much love to give another dog and she doesn’t wait too long to fill that void. There’s a dog out there that needs her just as much as she needs another dog. Sigh…

We only hurt if we LOVE our animals. But 10 years of love ain’t bad!!

It’s always a treat to have son, Taylor and the Montoursville Grands stop in to Warehouse 124. They were in the neighborhood for a dentist appointment. Jennilee (Aunt Sissy) and Easton were in deep discussion about jewelry. IVy was in deep discussion with me about what she could plan for tomorrow night (Dad works until 8:30…so Gramz & Popz are in charge)…she can’t decide on an overnight with a friend or go to the football game. Ah…youth!

One of our customers, Pat, asked Jennilee if Taylor was her “better half?” Jennilee answered with - “No, he’s my brother.” Taylor quickly responded to Pat “Well, yes…I AM the better half of the siblings!” 😂 Taylor is the witty one in the family…(although Jennilee runs a close second!)

We were PACKED this morning with customers looking for Paper Weights and Hens-On-Nest! I think we sold over 25 Paper Weights already - but that leaves about 40 left…so, stop in and peruse our selection - all priced at $10!!

I put out the prettiest (I think Murano) blown glass confetti flowers today in the prettiest vase! The flowers are $20 each but I like the look of the 3 in the vase, don’t you?

Jennilee put out some vintage pennants. They’re in really good shape for their age. (Hmmmm some are the same age as ME!!) I wonder if people would say that about me? “She’s in pretty good shape for her age…🤦‍♀️”

We also put out more vintage jewelry - PINK depression glass and miniature embroidery ART! And More! We put out vintage, cool finds every.single.day at Warehouse 124!

Quick Story about Family Jewels - and Gifting - and Mixing Old with New.

The turquoise and pearl ring that Jennilee is wearing was my mother’s ring.

The turquoise and pearl bracelet was Grand-Son, Easton’s.

Jennilee did a Google Lens search on the ring today and it goes for $900-$1300 online. It’s Victorian. The bracelet is costume jewelry and we would have put it into our shop for $25.

When Jennilee (Aunt Sissy) was helping Grand-Son, Easton organize his room…she came across this bracelet and told Easton it was rare to find turquoise and pearls together. She asked Easton to sell the bracelet to her. He handed it to her and said “You can have it, Aunt Sissy.” ♥️

Don’t be afraid to mix expensive with costume.
Wear the family jewelry.

OK…Where are our miniature Hen-On-Nest Collectors?

We have some chickens that have come to roost at Warehouse 124…and we couldn’t be happier to offer them for sale to our chicken collector customers!

All of these miniature “chick-salt” or “hen-on-nest” dishes are from BOYD ART Co (Ohio). These dishes were frequently made in limited editions, special anniversary runs, or holiday colors. Authentic BOYD pieces are stamped on the bottom with a characteristic “B in a Diamond” logo. All of ours are stamped BOYD!

We have NO HOLDS on these pieces and NO PRICES given on Facebook. Why no prices over Facebook? We’ve found that when we have rare and unusual pieces we get a lot of Lookey Loos - people who are collectors or re-sellers that want to compare prices. Nope…too busy for that. Also when we post these unique pieces AI is all over us - almost as bad as the robo calls on our phone. Thanks for understanding the trials and tribulations of running a small vintage shop.

So…please stop in person and check out these unique finds! Cluck, Cluck, Cluck!!!

We love the soft glow of Uranium Glass, don’t you?

Just in at Warehouse 124 are these Hazel-Atlas Cloverleaf Green Depression Glass footed sherbet or champagne glasses - manufactured in the 1930’s.

One Giant THANK YOU to our Warehouse 124 customers who purchased ALL of our Vintage Vera Bradley during the past 2 months.

We really took a leap of faith when we bought this huge (over 200 pieces) collection of New With Tags Vintage Vera. It’s not something that we usually sell in our shop. But YOU came through for us! We had a lot of Vera fans get pretty excited about the vintage patterns and the Warehouse 124 prices!

So…we totally sold out of purses - we have a few small pieces left which I will show you in this post. Everything left is priced at only $10 each. The flip flops are only $8 each.
