Wow, second year in a row I’ve got 2 hummers feeding and fighting around my vermillionaire plants at my home in Brewster! Tomorrow would tie the record for latest sighting here at my home in Brewster.🙏👍😎

Wow! After not seeing them for the last 3 days guess what?? My hummingbirds are BACK (at home)!!
Keep your feeders fresh , they’re not all gone yet.

Happy Saturday everyone! We are going to be open this morning but of course , if we lose power we”ll have to close. Call ahead to make sure we’re there. Reminder, if you have one of our WBU pole systems you might want to take the feeders off during the height of the windiest part of the storm. Feeders will act like sails and possibly bend or break the poles in winds of 50 mph or more.

Hi folks, Tom here from Wild Birds Unlimited. If this storm does develop as the weathermen predict I advise everyone who can to take down their feeders to do so when the winds go to 40 or above. Poles are strong but feeders act like sails and the poles could bend or break in extremely high winds with all the weight of your feeders. Put feeders back up when high winds subside.

Wow! Update on our milkweed plants growing out of the asphalt in our front parking lot. Those 3 plants have successfully reared FOUR Monarch butterflies!!. Also, we’ve discovered another chrysalis hanging under one of the leaves!!
How cool is that!!??
On another note, you all may want to put out your oriole jelly feeders again. After not seeing ANY orioles the last few weeks I find my yard in Brewster inundated yesterday and today with males, females, and young ones. Probly on the March south but so nice to see them again .❤️

Wow! As I just mentioned the emergence of of the Monarch is done AND we just discovered another chrysalis and another caterpillar!!!❤️🙏

Well, we weren’t here to witness it but our Monarch chrysalis has finished its job and there’s one more monarch butterfly fluttering about somewhere today. 👍 yea!!
