Town Of Southern Pines and Taylor Clement did a beautiful remembrance of 9/11… Mayor Clement reminded us of the responsibility to tell our stories and to listen to stories. She reminded us that the stories we tell signal what matters to us. She reminded us that we tell stories for the future. The Pilot coverage shown here as well! Also in an hour Due South will be doing a live broadcast on 9/11 Sunrise Theater

Today we partnered with our new nonprofit Experience Books to bring Steve Sheinkin to CCMS and Southern Middle and provide books for all 6th and 7th graders at each school. More fun and photos to come but the caliber of young kids at both schools was off the charts and inspiring to me for the future. It was a real treat to be with engaged interested and curious kids who know how to welcome a literary rock star! Macmillan Publishers
