Beautiful maple live edge table in a new home.

It takes a few years of a log laying in the woods to look like this and then another year to dry them into slabs.

The wood is soaked in epoxy to harden the wood fibers and then sanded back to look natural again.

A cast aluminum base always pairs well.

French Cleat Bunk Bed Ladder 🪜

French cleat is a simple and strong technique to secure objects to a wall, or in this case, a bunk bed!

In this build, I cut a 2x6 in half at a 45 degree angle. The lower half is mounted to the bed and the upper half to the top of the ladder. This allows the ladder to be removed easily and stored out of the way.

Unfortunately/fortunately it blends in so well that it's not obvious in the picture and a video would have been better...
