After almost 14 years in business, with mixed emotions, I have decided to retire and will be closing the Nest when our lease expires on August 31st.
The idea for The Owl's Nest Toy Shop was first hatched where I lived with my family in a small Northeast waterfront town. I often visited a toy shop with my two young children, coincidently named "The Dragon's Nest". When we moved to Texas the thought came to me to open a toy shop just like the one my kids loved so much growing up.
My goal was to have a quaint little toy shop to create memories for children and their families. Over the years I have made many friendships and have watched your families grow. I hope that the Nest has accomplished its goal and has created lots of fond memories.
The store will be closed tomorrow, Sunday, August 14th to prepare and our sale will start Monday, August 15th with discounts from 30% - 60% storewide. Everything must go by August 31st including store fixtures, shelving, etc. Cash or check appreciated.
Thank you for being loyal customers for so many years. I'm not sure what's next for me, but look forward to maybe seeing you again at my next adventure.
Sincerely,
Sandy Challinor
