WE HIT 100 FOLLOWERS!! 💚

Okay, we know 100 followers might not sound like a lot, but to us, that’s 100 people who willingly signed up to watch us figure out how to run a small business. 😂

For anyone new here, we’re the husband-and-wife duo behind Save The Container! We’re both Navy veterans who apparently decided that opening a refill shop together sounded like a good idea.

And here we are!

Between running the store, restocking shelves, coming up with new ideas, and occasionally wondering what we’ve gotten ourselves into, it’s been quite the adventure.

Seriously though, thank you for every follow, share, comment, and visit. We appreciate you more than you know!

This Friday, we’re getting together for our Natural Home Reset Workshop at Blank Canvas Social House in Southold!

We’ll explore simple ways to use food scraps for natural cleaning, talk about getting started with composting, and you’ll even take home your own refill product!

Friday, October 16 | 6–8 PM

$40 per person, with supplies and your take-home refill included.

Looking for something fun to do with the kids tomorrow? 🎃

We’re kicking off our Social Clubs at Save The Container, and our first project is painted pavers!

We’ve made a pumpkin and Frankenstein for inspiration, but the kids can get creative and make their own designs.

Join us tomorrow, Sunday, October 11, at Blank Canvas Social House, right behind Save The Container in Southold!

🎨 Little Makers Social Club
Ages 3–5 | 10 AM–12 PM

School Age Social Club
Ages 6+ | 1–3 PM

$20 per child, with all supplies included!

Parents and guardians stay with children ages 15 and under at no additional cost.

768 paper loops later… 🎃

Our giant paper-chain jack-o’-lantern is officially up!

This started as a pile of cardstock and somehow became 24 chains with 32 loops each, all cut, looped, stapled and hung by hand.

One of my favorite parts of owning a small business is getting to do slightly ridiculous things like turn the storefront window into a giant piece of paper-chain art. 😂

Our October Social Clubs are all about PAINTED PAVERS!

On Sunday, October 11, kids can join us at Blank Canvas Social House to paint their own fall-inspired paver to take home.

🎃 Little Makers Social Club
Ages 3–5 | 10 AM–12 PM

🎨 School Age Social Club
Ages 6+ | 1–3 PM

$20 per child and all supplies are included.

Social Club is about more than making a craft. It’s a chance for kids to create, spend time with others, and have fun making something completely their own.

We’ve planned a full month with something for little makers, school age kids, adults, and anyone looking to bring a little more creativity or low-waste living into their fall.

🎨 Little Makers Social Club, ages 3–5
🎨 School Age Social Club, ages 6+
🌱 Low-Waste Fall Reset
🍂 Adult Craft & DIY Social

Our October featured craft is painted pavers, with activities adapted for each age group. Adults can get in on it too during our Adult Craft & DIY Social, or bring along a project you’re already working on!

All October events are hosted at Blank Canvas Social House, right behind Save The Container in Southold. 💜
