25 years later, we continue to tell Welles Crowther’s story.

As we reflect on all the lives lost 25 years ago, we remember the heroic actions of those, like Welles, in New York on 9/11.

As a lacrosse community, we continue to honor Welles through service and by sharing his story and the red bandana that came to represent him. His example reminds us of the impact one person can have on others.

We honor Welles, and all those we lost, by continuing to serve others and never forgetting.

Introducing the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame Class of 2026 ⭐️

- Lindsey Munday: Two-time NCAA champion and All-American at Northwestern who went on to win two world championships with the U.S. Women’s National Team and now leads the U.S. Women’s Sixes National Team.

- Sarah Albrecht Meehan: Two-time All-American and two-time NCAA champion at Northwestern who went on to win two world championships with the U.S. Women’s National Team.

- Max Seibald: Four-time All-American and 2009 Tewaaraton Award winner at Cornell who won a world championship with the U.S. Men’s National Team and enjoyed a 10-year professional career.

- Chris Rotelli: Three-time All-American and 2003 Tewaaraton Award winner at Virginia who went on to become the first overall pick in the 2003 MLL Draft and a four-time professional all-star.

- Jon Hess: Three-time All-American and three-time NCAA champion at Princeton who led the U.S. Men’s U19 Team to a 1996 world championship as MVP.

- Jim Nestor: Four-time NCAA champion and five-time IWLCA National Coach of the Year at Salisbury University who ranks among the winningest coaches in NCAA lacrosse history.

- Lissa Fickert: Four-decade veteran official and longtime leader in lacrosse rules development, training and officiating.

- Peter Worstell: Four-time All-American at Maryland who went on to launch five high school lacrosse programs and play a major role in growing the game in California.

Shawn Lyght got on the scoresheet as the Men’s Senior Field Team wrapped pool play 3-0 at the PALA Continental Qualifier in Kingston Jamaica.

With a pool play sweep, the guys will be playing for gold on Sunday.
