Daily drawing with - one of the best parts of my day to day! Am I completely consistent everyday like I was earlier in the year?! No, not as good as I was, BUT I have found that it has still been an awesome goal for me, and it has been a great tool to help me “carve out” time for creativity on MOST days. I have been really, really busy finishing up the school year as a teacher and was disappointed in myself for letting daily drawing slide, but the best part is that Sarah (The Mint Gardener) is always encouraging here on IG and always cheers us on whenever we jump back in! I also have some lovely IG friends on here who are always encouraging as well! 🎨🩵 tell me- are you working on daily drawing?!✏️✒️

Living in South Carolina, USA, I thought the Aurora Borealis “Northern Lights” was something I’d never get to witness! It was pure magic - my stepson and husband convinced me to lay on the grass with them and look at the sky even though I was cold and tired (11:30pm is late for me!) but I’m so glad they did 😂 The colors weren’t super visible to the eye without the phone camera, but we could see the movement and swirls in the sky; they were like gray and white swirling lines all over the sky, and then the camera picked up the colors!

I started reading “The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart” yesterday by and it is STUNNING. Every word is mesmerizing and I found myself turning page after page. I stayed up until 1am reading for the first time in years! An underlying theme is the secret & unspoken language of flowers - especially pertaining to native Australian wildflowers in her book! This idea has been around for centuries but was quite popular in the Victorian era, and I find myself so fascinated by it all 🌸 🩵Did you know blue hydrangeas symbolize apology, gratitude, and understanding? So here is a blue hydrangea to show you all gratitude for following along with me on my art journey here 🩵
