SAFETY RECALL NOTICE FOR CVA PARAMOUNT MUZZLELOADING RIFLES
Immediate Stop Use Order for CVA Paramount Muzzleloading Rifles
CVA is issuing a safety recall for all Paramount, Paramount HTR, Paramount Pro, and Paramount Pro V2 muzzleloading rifles. This recall pertains to all production years of these models. Owners are required to cease use of all Paramount rifles immediately and, if loaded, safely unload them as instructed in Section 17 of the owner’s manual. http://bit.ly/4vyYt6Q
Reason for Recall
An unsafe condition may occur if a Paramount rifle is improperly loaded, including but not limited to:
• Double loading
• Use of incorrect or incompatible powder
• Improper loading, cleaning or storage procedures
• Presence of obstruction
These conditions may create an increased risk of failure, serious injury, or death to the user or bystanders during the initial or subsequent firings.

1. Why is this product being recalled?

2. Which models are being recalled?
a. All Paramount rifle models and all production years of these models
3. How do I find my or Serial #?
a. The serial number can be found on the barrel. Customers should refer to the recall webpage for photos showing the serial number location.
4. What should I do if I own one of the recalled models?

5. How do I safely unload my rifle?
a. Please refer to the owner’s manual. Section 17 states: UNLOADING THE PARAMOUNT RIFLE: To unload the loaded muzzleloader, follow these steps: 1. Rotate the safety lever rearward to the safe position. 2. Open the bolt and remove the primer from the breech plug. 3. Press the bolt release on the left side of the receiver and pull the bolt to the rear, removing it from the receiver. 4. Use the provided breech plug wrench to unscrew the breech plug from the barrel. 5. Insert the range rod into the muzzle of the barrel and push the bullet and powder out the breech of the barrel. 6. Clean the rifle before storage
6. What if I am not the original owner?
a. All current Paramount rifle owners should participate in the recall regardless of whether they are the original owner. Please visit bpioutdoors.com/paramount-recall/ or email [email protected] to begin the process.
7. Do I need proof of purchase?
a. No, Proof of purchase is not required to participate in the recall
8. How do I return my Paramount rifle?
a. Returns are handled directly through CVA. Please visit bpioutdoors.com/paramount-recall/ or email [email protected].
b. Note: If you are a resident of California you must use your local FFL for shipping.
9. Can I return my Paramount rifle to the store I bought it?
a. No, all returns must be processed directly through CVA. Please visit bpioutdoors.com/paramount-recall/ or email [email protected]
10. Does this recall apply to any other models of CVA muzzleloaders?
a. No. This recall applies to all Paramount rifle models only and does not extend to other CVA muzzleloaders or products.
