Happy Tuesday!

We had a stormy Labor Day Weekend and we hope you managed to enjoy some of it!

Today we have Dungeons and Dragons for Beginners hitting the Battlefield play area at 6pm! We are looking for another Dungeon Master for another D&D for Beginners Group, so if you're interested in spearheading a D&D group, come and talk with us in the store!

It's also Dungeons and Dragons Day here in the shop and we hope to see you here for that, too! Our tables are your tables and they're open from 9:30 am to 9pm!

Happy Friday!

We've got a lot of things on tap today! We have Friday Night Magic tonight and what an awesome night it's going to be to come in and work on your deck for our Halloween Spooky CEDH - Win a Vampiric Tutor!

On that note, we are almost half way through the process of sorting through the bulk bins and making that system more efficient and cataloged better for you!

It's Board Game Night tonight! We've had a lot of people following up for our Catan tournament, and you'll be excited to know that we have a Ticket to Ride Tournament coming up in the near future! In October we're going to be doing Scythe, and we have things in mind for November and December!

It's also the Friday Night Fire Fight and we have a ton of growing interest in Horus Heresy here in the shop! Bring in your lists and have some fun up in the Highground!

We are here all Labor Day Weekend! Get out of the heat and have some fun!

Happy Thursday!

It's Miniatures Build and Paint Day all day here in the shop.

We have Star Wars X-wing on the tables in the Hangar Bay starting at 6pm tonight! Bring your favorite ships!

We have Battletech at 6pm in the Battlefield tonight as well!

We still have people interested in getting Pokemon Night up and going again, and we'd love to see that this fall!

All that and more here at Game State today!

And YES, we will be open during the Fair Week and all Labor Day Weekend!

Welcome back to Tuesday!

We have Dungeons and Dragons rolling in the shop today! All day long is D&D Day and then tonight we have Dungeons and Dragons for Beginners at 6pm tonight.

All are invited and welcome!

It's September first, and we have Bunker Club entries due for our Games Workshop enthusiasts! Bring in the Leader or Hero unit you made for August and get working on your Elite units for this month! Remember, the models may be built and primed, but not painted before any given month you're building them for!

Happy Friday!

Our Discord Drive yesterday saw a bunch of new people in the server and we're hoping to add more...a LOT more. Let's talk metrics for a second. Due to the algorithm, any given post we make gets seen by between 30 and 200 people. Video posts get a bit more, cracking up to 1000. Even at our height before Facebook became infotainment trying to sell you products, we were hard pressed to get an organic reach of over 1500 unique views. That means that even if we were looking at strictly population in our main draw area, we were looking at about a 3% pe*******on for views...and we have a much larger audience than only the immediate 45 miles.

Discord means that you see everything we post, period. You can interact, you can join specific groups and tailor your game store experience to what you want notifications on and what you might look at and browse at your convenience. Memes, group chats, interactions with other store denizens...it's everything that facebook was meant to be.

We're not leaving facebook though, but if you want to join the Discord, either hit the link in your email from yesterday OR hit the link in the discussion below.

TODAY
We have Friday Night Magic on tap in the battlefield starting at 6pm! Bring in your favorite Commander Deck (or Decks) and have a good time with us until midnight! We are desperately low on packs again, and we're looking at remedying that in the near future!

We have Board Game Night open and you can take anything out of the Game Library and play it at our tables! Come on in as you wish and hang out for as long as you want!

We have the Friday Night Fire Fight hitting the tables in the Highground at 6pm! Bring in your favorite 40k army or test drive something for Age of Sigmar or Horus Heresy!

Tonight we also have a special event, our first Catan Touranment starting at 6pm! Check out the Events Tab for more details!

It's gonna be a busy day! Come on in and play!

Happy Thursday!

We have a couple of days left on the monthly Build and Paint Competition for the Bunker Club! This month's unit of choice for Games Workshop models is Leaders and Heroes! That fits nicely with today being Build and Paint Day here in the shop!

It's also Battletech Night starting at 6pm!

Also starting at 6pm is X-wing Night!

For either of those two table top games, bring in your best list using the X-Wing Alliance rules and Launch Bay Next App, or bring in your list for Battletech and throw down at 6,000 points (BV2, Tech level 3 or less, and nothing newer than 3060)

We're also working hard in the 3D Print Lab to clean things up and we're getting items printed for the Catan Tournament this weekend!

We invite you to join the Game State Discord Channel

For a while now we've been building the Discord Community for Game State. We know that some of the platforms we've been using (like Facebook) are getting used less and less and content created on it is getting seen less and less. That's a tough nut to crack when it's been our main communication channel for almost twelve years!

So we invite you to join the Discord Channel! We are building it out to hit all of the major areas of the shop, plus show case weekly events and also highlight Tournaments and other one-off events run right here in the store!

We are building a community with it. Message boards, communication, setting up direct links between friends of the shop, and more are all possible in ways that we would only be failing at recreating with proprietary message boards and forums. So join us! Tell your friends! encourage others in the shop that we may not have reached to join the chat!

Happy Wednesday, everyone!

We've got RPG Day all day here in the shop and recently we've seen a huge uptick in people looking for World of Darkness, Cyberpunk, Savage Worlds, Traveler, and more! Today we also have Star Wars Legion on the tables and we've seen some people get into the Bounty Hunters side of things on this recently, strengthening their lists with Mandalorian leaders and reinforcements!

It's Heroscape Night here at the shop and we have a table set up for you on the round table in the Battlefield! There is discussion on the Discord Server to have a casual event on Saturday at 1pm and players of all levels of experience are welcome!
