Introducing… THE LAKE SERIES🔥

Three rods. Three lakes. One goal… Put fish on the ice.

The Hot Bite Rods Lake Series is officially launching for the 2026–27 hardwater season! Inspired by the Iowa Great Lakes and designed for the way we fish them.

With the goal of achieving faster turn around times for ice rod builds this year I’ll be offering limited stocked options for “standard builds.” Custom build options will still be available, but will require additional time for ordering components.

Built by hand. Built for the bite.

Now THAT’S a hot bite 🔥

An absolute toad rainbow caught out west on the custom HBR fly rod!

My favorite part of building rods is seeing them leave the shop and actually get put to work. They aren’t meant to sit on a wall. They’re meant to fish!

Labor Day always feels like the unofficial end of summer to me. While I’m going to miss summer fishing, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t already looking forward to what comes next…

ICE SEASON. 🧊

Here’s a look back at some ice builds that came out of the Hot Bite shop over the last year… But this year is going to look a little different. 👀

I’ve been working behind the scenes on some exciting new ideas and changes to Hot Bite Rods that I think you’re going to like!

More details and announcements coming soon…

Until then, enjoy these last few days of summer because ICE SEASON is coming! 🔥

July might be peak summer, but we’re already thinking about ice season.

Just wrapped up this custom ice rod featuring a personalized name and catfish decal. Every custom build is a little different, and that’s what makes them fun to create.

Ice rod… in July? Absolutely 🔥
