These hands-on classes are designed for anyone who loves to learn by doing. Instead of a step-up or lecture-style format, you’ll create right alongside me from start to finish. I’ll guide you through each step, share tips and techniques, and answer questions as we go, so you feel confident and supported throughout the process. You’ll leave with not just your finished creations, but the knowledge and skills to make them again at home. It’s relaxed, interactive, and all about having fun while making something beautiful together.

GREENCASTLE IS TURNING 35!

The mountains of Wallace, ID saw their first bar of Greencastle Soap created & sold back in 1991. October 2nd & 3rd we will have Greencastle Soap Company's 35th Birthday Sale & I am hoping to bring back a few old favorites that have been retired. I have a not-so-old list of soaps with just a few scents that are out of rotation but I know there has to be more. Tell me your favorite scent you'd like brought back for a limited run. I'll take a vote and get the most popular ones on the curing racks in time for our birthday bash. Don't be shy...tell me your favorite!

Registration closes in just over 24 hours for our Bread with Sarah workshop this Friday - August 14th from 4-7. Learn to make delicious and nutritious no-kneads breads (not sourdough!) that are simple and simply amazing. This time we will be working on a pumpkin spice & a chocolate marble bread. This is the last workshop we will have with Sarah in 2026 so sign up now unless you want to wait until next year to learn.

Dear Friends,

Like so many of you, we’ve spent the last few days holding our breath and watching the devastation caused by the wildfires in our community. Seeing families lose their homes, businesses, and belongings is heartbreaking. Our thoughts are with everyone who has been affected, as well as the firefighters, first responders, and volunteers working to keep our community safe. At Greencastle Soap Company and Maker’s Apothecary, we cannot solve these enormous challenges, but we can open our doors and offer what we have.

If you have been displaced by the fires, please know you’re welcome to stop by to use our restrooms, fill water bottles, access our Wi-Fi, charge your devices, sit for a while, catch your breath, take care of emails, calls, and insurance paperwork, get a hug.

If you’re a fellow maker or small business owner who has been affected, we’d also like to help where we can. As space allows, we may be able to provide:

* Temporary storage for inventory or business supplies.
* Shared workspace so you can continue making products and filling orders.
* A place to receive business shipments while you’re displaced.
* Connections to other resources in our community who may be able to help.

If there’s something you need that isn’t listed here, please don’t hesitate to ask. I can’t promise I’ll have the answer, but if it’s within our ability, we’ll gladly help. And if we can’t, we’ll do our best to connect you with someone who can.

May these fires remind us that a community isn’t defined by buildings—it’s defined by people who care for one another. If you need us, our door is open. Please share this message with anyone who may benefit from these resources & if you know of other local businesses offering resources, let us know so we can help spread the word.
