What’s one of the things that makes Kraken Coffee taste better? We don’t serve what you see in the pictures below. We filter our water to the point it’s basically distilled water. So you get the pure taste of the coffee not tap water and all the nasty’s in it to include the calcium that causes this.

* new to me machine for the new shop. It looked good on the outside but inside is the worst I’ve seen. So far I’ve pulled about 3lbs of calcification out of it and more to come.

What one thing I can say I value about my business and how I make my coffee? I value taking care of my equipment!
I rebuilt the machine I use daily to make espresso that I got from a different coffee shop in Spokane about a year ago. I tore it down to the bare frame. Well when we shut down for the fires I turned the machine off and also the water supply when I came back I turned the machine on but forgot to turn the water supply back on and burnt up the heating element. So I removed it. I was shocked to see just how clean the boiler was still. 0 hard water buildup. Why because I use a Reverse Osmosis w/Deionizing Resin (RODI) this is the same water I use for my fish tanks. The only water that is more pure is distilled water.

Kraken Coral & Coffee is closed temporarily due to the fires. We Evacuated the shop on Saturday Afternoon shortly after we got the level 3 notice. We have tried to take the steps necessary to protect the fish and coral, we have the birds at home with us and we are safe. Hoping for the same for all of our friends, neighbors and followers. We’ll update as we can but if you need anything please reach out and I will do what I can to help and get you what you need

Good afternoon my Kraken Family. I want to share with you some updates about our schedule, which may be subject to change over the next few weeks. Although our primary goal is to maintain our regular operating hours, our Lil Mr. recently suffered a severe burn on his neck and chest, requiring a life flight to Harbor View in Seattle. Despite this challenge, he's showing remarkable resilience and is doing well so far. A go fund me has been set up for him. If you are able to donate that would be amazing, if not completely understandable just keep our Lil Mr. in your thoughts and prayers.
