A little note from the Pop Team-

The ongoing fires effecting so many of our friends, family, neighbors have really made us think. We kept asking ourselves where POP! fit into all of this. At the end of the day, we’re a party store. We celebrate birthdays and babies, graduations and first days. We make balloons. We create a little bit of joy. And for a while, celebrating so loudly just didn’t feel quite right.

But then we realized that maybe a little joy is exactly what we can give.

So, we made something. 🎈

We created a Back to School photo backdrop at River Park Square, and it’s completely FREE for anyone to use. If your family has been displaced, if back-to-school looks different this year, if you don’t have your usual front porch or favorite spot for that first-day photo or if you simply want to come make a sweet memory with your kiddos, this is for you.

Celebrate that new backpack, the too-big shoes, the missing front tooth, the nervous smile and another first day. 🤍 Because even in really hard seasons, these little moments still matter.

We quietly opened our doors again last week. 🤍

After being closed for the month of July for our little POP refresh, we had imagined reopening with a lot more… well, pop.

But just days before we were set to welcome you back, devastating wildfires swept through our Spokane community, destroying homes, displacing families, and changing everything for so many of our neighbors.

Celebrating a reopening simply didn’t feel right.

Instead, we spent those first days doing what so many of you were doing, checking in on our people, making sure everyone was safe, helping where we could, and holding our community a little closer. Members of our own POP family were impacted, and loved ones of our team needed places to land.

So we opened quietly.

No big announcement. No balloons at the door. Just grateful to be back, grateful our people are safe, and heartbroken for the families in our community who have lost so much.

Our doors are open again, Spokane. The shop has been refreshed, the shelves are full, and we’re here when you need a little celebration in your life. But right now, more than anything, we just want to say how much we love this community.

To everyone who has checked in, opened their homes, donated, volunteered, fed someone, housed someone, or simply showed up for a neighbor, this is Spokane. And we are so proud to call it home.
