Being a vendor for a ren faire is honestly such a fun experience. To get to add to the experience and whimsy. The early chilled mornings walking through the grounds and seeing all the other equals tired sellers getting ready for the day was wholesome and gave a feeling of community.
Even before some of us had our first cup of coffee we still smile and say our greetings. Visit each other and wishes of luck.
My son came with me on day two and took his role of mornkng security very seriously. Patrolling the grounds and chasing wild turkey through the make shift alleys. Other vendors laughed and cheered him on. Later asking if he managed to track it down after it had escaped into the trees.
Made my heart warm that it was his first time coming with me and he got such a lovely welcome.

Unfortunately the magic is now over and the dishes and laundry i ignored this weekend are calling to me.

I'll admit! I got lost in the rush of learning a new hobby and the dream of making garb. Dove head first in wanting to become a vendor and sell wares at faires! And realized... I couldn't remember the last time I made something not for sale. Something for myself!
Younger me would be so proud. Still boggles my mind that I figured it out and taught myself to sew costumes and more.
Created 2 more items for my costume rotation (yes it has its own side of the closet) and a lesson in slowing down and there's nothing bad about making stuff for yourself sometimes

Time is ticking down to the big Spokane Renaissance Faire! Project Manager Valentine is not impressed by the empty basket of finished Dice Trays & bags.
So we will be making use of the long weekend and fill it up! I have a dozen that just needs their buttons.
Made a big batch of coffee and a big cute mug.
