This isn’t flower news- but it’s news that is important to me ♥️

My parents have their house for sale, and dang it if I’m not going to post it everywhere so the can find their buyer!

This is the gazebo my husband and I were married in ♥️ it was at the other house (Dad built them both), and they moved it after this house was built. We recently took photos there- I cannot wait to post them side by side with our wedding photos ♥️

This oversized deep purple bouquet went to the sweetest bride today! ♥️

I don’t always get to hand the bride her flowers, but I so enjoy it when I do! Getting to watch Olivia’s face light up and her eyes get huge when she saw her bouquet- oh man, I love my job 🥰

When the bride says the vibe is ✨Moody Bridgeton✨ you get the moodiest roses, the most delicate ranunculus, and some flighty anemones to make that happen!

Between the dusky roses, gold compote dishes, and the almost 70 bud vases (that I completely forgot to take pictures of!), this wedding was so completely romantic 🥰

the castle vineyards is one of my favorite venues to work with- it was such a pleasure to be back! ♥️

Walking into the venue today- you could feel it… the people who showed up for the bride and groom, for each other, the vendors, the guests- they are there because they love what they do, they want the best for their daughter, cousin, friend, their client. It wasn’t just a well planned event- this wedding was a testament to the lives that the bride and groom live, the people who love them, and all the time and effort they put together to make this day beyond special. I had such fun putting together their flowers, was only mildly panicked trying to load my car (lol), and was floored by the amount of support and joy that was felt as soon as that space began to fill up with their people 💙

My first peony. I planted this peony years ago- it’s honestly been so long I can’t remember when I did it. Every year I’ve watched it sprout up from the spring dirt, grow shoots and leaves- and no bud. Every year I waited and watched. Every year no flowers. This year there was a bud, just one. I waited patiently for it to bloom, wondered if it would be white or pink- because it had been so long I didn’t know what it would be. Years I waited for a single flower- and look at it, it’s perfect. Creamy very with blush and you can’t see it- but a yellow seedy center that adds so much intrigue.

We plant seeds, we water them, we hope they grow. Sometimes they take more time. But we know we can’t rush the bud to bloom. If only we took advice from our own gardens.

Everything happens it its own time. The Creator is in charge of the timing of buds and blooms, not us. And this single peony in my garden reminds me of that ♥️
