Our first shipment of fall grass seed and fertilizer just landed 🌱

A couple things worth knowing before you buy this year: K31 prices are up significantly due to a supply shortage, so it may not be the value pick it usually is. And here's the one most people don't know — flip over a big box store bag and check the label. On a lot of them, close to 50% of what you're paying for isn't even seed. It's filler, coating, and inert matter.

If you saw our post earlier this week - we were dealing with a seriously muddy yard and running low on screened topsoil after all the rain. Wet dirt just won't screen right, so we were stuck waiting it out.

Today we finally got a break in the weather and found a dry pocket to work with. Fired up the excavator and wheel loader, ran it through the trommel, and got a fresh batch of clean screened topsoil — no rocks, no clumps, no mud. This load's already headed out to a new McDonald's build site.

Figured starting a video series was as good an excuse as any to explain to my wife why I'm tearing up another part of the yard.

But there's a bigger reason I'm filming this. Acors handles the easy part - we deliver the product. What I want to show here is the DIY side: the do's, the don'ts, and what actually works when you're doing it yourself. Not as a professional landscaper - I'm not one - but as someone who has yard access most homeowners don't and is willing to "see what happens"

"Yard Update: We're soggy, not sorry. 🌧️😅

Whoever's out there doing a rain dance — we need you to knock it off. We had a fresh pile of topsoil worked up and ready to go yesterday, and then it rained AGAIN overnight. At this point our yard qualifies as a wetland.

We're running low on ready-to-go topsoil until we dry out a bit, so do yourself a favor and call before making the trip out. We promise we're working on it (the topsoil, not the rain — that one's out of our hands).
