I am heading to Greece in a few weeks and I made these pens for special people we meet along the way. The pens were made out of Ambrosia Maple. It is exciting wood to work with because you never know what is hidden underneath and how it will turn out. There were several worm holes in two of the pens, so I crushed some purple rock and created some inlay work. They turned out wonderful.

I was hiking in the woods and found this 1/2 burnt burl. I knew it still had some life in it so I hauled it home and started working with it. It turned out very nice. We saw a little black bear towards the end of our trip so to commemorate the event, I wood burned the bear onto the pen/pencil.

Just finished this project. With my son's help we made this buzzer game. I have a conference coming up where I am presenting several topics and I wanted to have some audience participation. This game will allow the audience to buzz in when they know the answer. No more guessing who raised their hands first. This way I will know exactly who answered first. The best part is it is portable and runs off a 9 volt battery.

With the help of Catalina, this pen was created for her friend Sarah. Sarah had built a guitar from scratch. We took scraps from her project and made them into this pen. We added a guitar pick into the pen to add color and character. It turned out really nice. Sarah loved the pen.
