We did it! ❤️

We have officially wrapped up and closed the doors of the bookstore.

I want to thank you all, customers who became friends, missionaries that I have met and seen go home. This store was so much more than just books. Your friendship over the past 7 years has been the best part of this chapter in my family's life. It was a place where friendships grew, faith was strengthened, and lives were touched. You all matter to me along with your families.

As I move forward, I hold on to the Lord's promise:

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take."

Proverbs 3:5–6 (NLT)

Thank you for letting me be part of your lives. God bless each of you in your life's journey!

A special thanks to Debbie, Aubrey, and Kirk. Your friendship and support meant more than you know. I couldn't have wrapped up the store without you. Plus the endless amount of people that supported us with prayers!

I will be at store from 9:30 am to 3pm on Wednesday and Thursday cleaning things up.

Friendly request: please bring your reusable bags for your shopping trips to the bookstore. This will help keep your purchases safe without worrying about the bags breaking and your items getting damaged. We have bags but they are small and very flimsy. Once we're out of bags we won't be ordering more.

There are no words that can truly express how grateful I am for each of you.

Over the years, you have allowed me to be a small part of your lives, and you have become so much more than customers. You have become dear friends, an extended family, and a cherished part of my life. What began as simple visits to the store grew into meaningful conversations, shared laughter, tears, testimonies, and countless moments that I will carry with me forever. I hope you know how much each of you has meant to me. Knowing such wonderful people has been one of the greatest blessings of my life.

With a heavy heart, I want to let you know that our store will be closing its doors on July 31. While this chapter is coming to an end, Deseret Book is actively exploring opportunities to bring a new retail concept to the Houston area in the future.

This isn’t goodbye it’s simply, “See you soon.” I hope to see many of you again, especially in the house of the Lord. Until then, thank you for your friendship, your kindness, and your love. Thank you for making this store more than just a place to shop, together we created a place where the Spirit could be felt and where lasting connections were formed.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for allowing me and my wife to be part of your lives. We love and appreciate each of you, and we pray that Heavenly Father will continue to bless you and your families. We look forward to the joyful day when our paths cross again.
