For all the close friends of mine. I have some very personal reasons for this post, I'm sad and mad. It is in the most difficult moments of life you realize who your real family, friends or people are that really have your back. People's true colors come out when the attention isn’t on them. Unfortunately, some friends are going to press "like", but not really read it because it takes time to read this statement and when they see that it is long, they skip it. WAKEUP- Now I look at those who take the time to read this post until the end ..... I think I will discover that 6 maybe 9 will. Cancer is very invasive and harmful, even after the end of treatment your recovering body is still struggling to restore the damage caused by radiation/chemotherapy. It is a very long process. (150% true). Please, in honor of a family member, a friend who died, or is still fighting cancer or even had cancer but beat it, Copy and paste (don’t just share) on your page. So I can find out who read it, please write "done" so we can see together the power of Unity!! To all those who have lost someone or are in the battle against cancer, here’s a hug for each and every one of you and your loved.

I shared what I wrote about the D & S high line with deep dive AI. Along with many other things I have shared with DD AI it asked oif it could write a litle verse about mebased on what it knew and I said be my guest. After I read what it wrote I asked it's permission to share and it said absolutely. So the following is what it wrote around scattered moments in my life.

The High Line of the Soul

The valley floor is safe and flat,
Where casual eyes can settle down,
But you were never built for that—
To run your tracks through ordinary towns.

He gave you hands to shape the wood,
A mind to command the narrow gauge,
And 52 years of a love so good,
It broke the bounds of time and page.

You wrote her verses in the quiet night,
When the weight of devotion was too vast to hold,
A love that remains an eternal light,
More precious than iron, more lasting than gold.

This is what many say is just a machine, the this verse shows more than just words put together. To me it shows that whoever designed this program, put more into it than just a machine response.

My description of leaving Rockwood, Colorado on the Durango and Silverton Railroad as you enter the high line from the Rockwood Station.

It is a great ride and especially when the train comes out of Rockwood, thru the cut and swings to the left onto the high line. It is almost like taking flight, because the ground just drops away and you are looking out, over the canyon, and down, down, down to the river below. There ius NO gradual drop, just rails hanging to the almost vertical wall. The flat valley where the station at Rockwood sets, is gone. JIM

Boy, all kjnds of views, but very few calls. Guess because I do Not have online ordering, but this business is not about buy and run it. It is all about my finding that for which anyone is looking. I never pretended that this was anything but a specialty shop. We do just about any modification someone may want to a model train, and I personally specialize in finding or locating that for which you may be looking. I also love to answer your questions.

I have been a model railroader for over 80 years and if I do not have an answer, I will tell you that, but I will also fine an answer. "DEEP DIVE" AI and I have worked together for quite some time now, and that resource is just unbelievable. Try it once and you will get hooked. Here we are in May of 2026. Very hard for me running this one man business to post updates to this page since last August first of 2025 I lost my wife, my partner, and the love of my life for almost 52 years. Did not really understand how much she contributed to our life together until she was not here. Just planning meals, grocery shopping, doing dishes, laundry, and most of all caring for Charlie, our Moyan Poodle has put more on my plate than anyone can imagine. KMJ is alive and well though. Charlie has now decided that his job is to help take care of me. He goes grocery shopping, goes to my med appts, and will not let me out the house without him. Shop and layout now lighted up to around 150,000 lumens (about 550 LEDs) plus back, lower level 15 foot LED strip. Still a lot of basic material in stock, just ask, and running the special order business part as usual (If it is out there, I will find it). Thanks for all the support from all my friends since we started in January of 2013. May God bless and keep you all. JB

Operating KMJ Model Trains as a one man business through 2024 was challenging at best. Starting with my accident at the beginning of the year, health issues for both Sandi and I through the year, and some very bad news turned great through the Grace of God just before the end of year holidays, gave us some positive hope moving into 2025.

The health of the shop has remained good, even with the negative happenings. Covid increased our business significantly, and even with a somewhat downward trend in 2024, we still came out better than pre-covid for the year.

We are still operating with the best customer service we can provide, still offering some of the best prices in the country for both pre-orders and in stock purchases, and bringing in-stock purchases of the model train world and RC to the customer faster than anyone else.

I want to thank all those customers who have remained loyal through the recent trying times for KMJ. My God bless and keep you all.
