How does a pawn work?
A pawn is a short-term loan using an item you already own as collateral.
Here’s the simple way to understand it:
1. You bring in an item of value
This can be tools, electronics, jewelry, gold, acoustic guitars, and more.
2. We look at the item
We check the condition, brand, resale value, demand, and what similar items are selling for.
3. We make you an offer
If you like the offer, we write up the pawn ticket and explain the terms clearly before you agree.
4. You get cash the same day
Once the pawn is made, you receive your money and we safely hold the item.
5. You come back and pick up your item
When you pay back the loan plus the pawn fee by the due date, your item goes right back to you.
The important thing is this: pawning is not the same as selling.
When you pawn something, you still have a chance to get it back.
Pawning can be helpful when you need short-term cash for bills, emergencies, work expenses, or unexpected situations without permanently giving up your item.
At Payday Pawn & Jewelry, we try to make the process simple, fair, and easy to understand. No pressure — bring your item in, we’ll take a look, explain the offer, and you decide.
We pawn tools, electronics, gold, jewelry, instruments, and more. We also buy gold if you’re looking to sell.
