If you’ve ever wondered how Stevie’s World became what it is today… it starts with one guy.
Meet John Leep, the founder of Stevie’s World of Wiffleball.
Back in 1985, John started what would eventually become one of the largest Wiffleball tournaments in the country and the largest charitable Wiffleball tournament in the United States. Since then, Stevie’s World has raised more than $300,000 for children and families right here in Clark County.
What most people don’t see is everything that happens the other 364 days of the year.
John is constantly meeting with sponsors, reaching out for donations, coordinating celebrity guests, working with vendors, planning logistics, and making sure every moving piece comes together. When September rolls around, people see one incredible day. John sees a year’s worth of work come to life.
He’s been married to his wife, Sue, for more than 40 years, and together they’ve built Stevie’s World into a true family mission. Their children—Stevie, Stephanie, and Savannah—all play major roles in making the event possible.
And through it all, John has never taken a paycheck.
He simply believes every child deserves something to look forward to.
