One of the most anxiety-inducing, but fun activities of the year is covering my journal in as many vinyl stickers as I can that feel relevant to the current season of life. I also always add a clear cover to protect the stickers & my book ( weekly & daily this year!), this one is from ✨ Also don’t mind my crazy pink sticky notes, those were marked pages for setup! I usually do my stickers first as it always motivates me to pick up my planner more.

The reality of being a mama of two littles while also making crafty things to sell on Etsy✨ After the usual daily morning routine, I got the kids down for their nap and went to my office - AKA our master bedroom - to work on an open order to find a mix of hot wheels, play kitchen food, and color sorting vehicles shoved into my Siser machine….

I could’ve easily gotten frustrated that they had touched my stuff, but instead I have realized that they have watched me work on my shop in the pockets of their days. They have seen me print and then cut stickers (with that very machine), write thank you notes, package orders, film videos, and have taken many, many trips to the post office in between our regular every day life. They have been a part of this little corner of the internet for the last four years and counting even if they’ve been faceless on this account. I worked on the shop while pregnant, while breastfeeding, while they slept or wiggled in a carrier or a play mat at my feet. With my second born, I designed stickers at 3am after a sleepless night more times than I can count.

If you have ordered in the last few years, your order was probably quietly celebrated by two little people that you’ll never meet, but who unknowingly get an extra book at the thrift store or trip to the children’s museum because of those sticker kits or custom t-shirt you ordered.

Happy Thanksgiving y’all! 🦃💗 I am so thankful for my family - a doting husband and two children - who are my world. They are my why and for that reason I haven’t been able to prioritize the shop’s Black Friday events as I had planned. It has been a busy week for our family between my daughter’s first birthday and my son coming down with the stomach flu. There have been no pockets of time to sneak away and work as usual because if my children need me - I am there, so our Black Friday sale may look different than I had hoped. I am still deciding how I want to proceed. I do plan to run an automatic discount (no coupon needed) Etsy sale on my current inventory, but there will probably not be new releases this weekend. There will be extra freebie swaps included for the first 20 orders. I am thinking of doing another sale with new releases at the same discount in December to make up for it. Details will be posted soon, but I appreciate y’all sticking with me and understanding that I am a real person and I will always be a mama first. It’s no surprise that balancing the shop over last three and a half years since becoming a mother has been challenging for me. I am not as consistent as I need to be about posting to social media or designing new releases for the algorithm to “push” my content, but if YOU are reading this, I am so grateful for you and your support of my small business. Even a simple like, comment, or story share is so helpful these days. I am thankful for ten years of running my shop and I’m still here in my small corner of the internet fighting to continue. I have some big ideas that I am hoping to bring to fruition in 2026, but I’m trying to figure out how to get more hours in a day first. I am wishing all of you the best holiday season with your families.

Y’all my man made me cry 😭❤️ A few months ago, I added my Etsy shop’s ten year anniversary to our shared calendar. I usually do a sale or something, but I have been too busy with family stuff to do anything and decided to just wait till Black Friday to do anything extra. Well, without saying anything, he noticed and surprised me today. It was so completely unexpected and it warmed my heart so much. Ten years ago I opened my Etsy shop in the hopes of making a little money to help pay for wedding expenses. Through getting married, graduating college, buying our first house, starting a big girl job, selling and then buying our second home, and having two kids, it’s still open.

My “free time” to work on new designs is so limited nowadays with the littles and in combination with the economy (people need to prioritize groceries not stickers and t-shirts… I totally agree & can personally relate to that) - it’s not a big money maker anymore. I can sometimes buy an extra goodie at the store for my kids or pay a random bill and I genuinely enjoy the creative outlet side of it. So thank you to anyone who has supported me over the years - but most of all I am so appreciative of Brandon’s support of me pursuing whatever makes me happy. Here’s to hopefully a few more years of Chasing Chels. Est. November 4, 2015. 🥳

All that being said, if you ever need custom stickers (I can do vinyl ones for water bottles/laptops, or paper ones for journals/planners, but I also do apparel - mostly custom shirts for birthdays, vacations, or small businesses, but really the limit is your imagination - send me a message!
