If you've spent any time looking at your Suzuki DR-Z4S/SM from behind, you already know the stock rear fender and license plate holder is a bulky plastic brick. It's heavy, it doesn't look great, and one tip-over on the trail can crack the housing or shatter your taillight. It’s Wheel Wednesday and this XR650L setup is too good not to show off.

A cush drive is easily one of the best upgrades you can add to an XR650L.

Since it never came with a cush drive from the factory, all that drivetrain shock gets transferred straight through the bike. These Warp 9 wheels with a cush drive rear hub help smooth things out for pavement miles, ADV riding, and long mixed-terrain days while still being built to handle real off-road abuse.

Adventure doesn’t always go according to plan.

Today, a traveler named Austin rolled into the shop on his 2005 KLR650 after his worn-out clutch perch was giving him problems mid-journey. With miles still ahead and no direct replacement part on the shelf, the easy answer would’ve been “sorry, can’t help.” But that’s not how riders treat riders.

Even though we don’t have a service department, we jumped in, pieced together a temporary fix, and got him back on the road and chasing the next horizon.

That’s what the motorcycle community is all about, helping each other out when it matters most. Safe travels, Austin! Hope the KLR carries you many more miles ahead.

If your bike is running rough off idle or struggling to start, a dirty carburetor is often the culprit. In this Tech Talk, Mike walks through a full carburetor cleaning on a Honda XR650L. The carb is a Mikuni TM40 flat-slide, the same carb we carry for the Suzuki DR650 and Kawasaki KLR650. But the steps apply to most carburetors you'll encounter on a dual-sport.

Summer’s right around the corner, are you and your bike ready for it?

Fresh oil? Drivetrain dialed in? Tires good to go?
Nothing kills a perfect ride faster than something you could’ve caught in the garage.

Keep in mind, this is the time of year when everyone’s getting their bikes ready, so certain parts start going fast and can take longer to get in.

Take a few minutes to give your bike a once-over now, so you’re not stuck waiting when you should be riding.

We now offer a solution to run a variety of handguards on the DR-Z4S!

Our adapter converts the oversized 12mm threaded bar ends to the standard 8mm size used by most handguards. Installation is simple, remove the stock bar end weights, install the adapters, and mount your handguards.

We’ve test fit and confirmed fitment on our DR-Z4S with the following Acerbis models:
X-Factor
Rally Pro X-Strong
X-Factory

We’re continuing to test additional options, but we were too excited not to share this update!

Please note: Due to the position of the front brake reservoir and line on the 4S, not all handguards will provide adequate clearance. Be sure to choose a design that allows enough space in that area.
