So much is happening in the garden right now! Zinnias that I planted back in July are starting to bloom and the sunflowers are about to explode with deep fall colors. But the real star of the show right now are those marigolds! 😍 Wow! I’m planting more colors next year because I’ve completely fallen in love with this flower. Don’t forget, you can reach out for a bouquet or custom arrangement any time between now and our first hard frost. 🩷🌸🩷

I feel like early September should officially be named Butterfly Season! There are soooo many butterflies and moths on my flowers every time I walk outside right now. I love growing flowers for many reasons, but attracting butterflies to my garden is high on the list. 🩷 I’m curious, does it seem to anyone else like there are even MORE butterflies this year than in years past?

After several years of hobby gardening, I decided to launch Serenity Blooms, a small business creating custom floral arrangements with the flowers I grow in my very own backyard here in Springfield, IL. I’m willing to admit I might have a flower problem! My entire camera roll is filled with pictures of me with my flowers, my kids with my flowers, bugs on my flowers… 😆
