Great Lakes Yacht Club is happy to announce registration for our annual Fall Series should be open by Wednesday, August 27.
The entire series of 5 races starts on September 28th, for four consecutive Sundays, and concludes on Saturday, October 25th. The first and last races are point-to-point, with the three middle races windward/leewards. Or, just register for the first race, the Ed Theisen Trophy Race. New this year you can register for just the second race, which will be a joint windward/leeward race day with North Star Sail Club.
Unique classes will be created for each of race days one and two. If you register for the entire series, your corrected time from each of these days will be applied to the Fall Series classes to determine series awards. Race days 3-5 will be sailed using the Fall Series classes.
We invite boats from clubs south of GLYC to dock at GLYC for any part of the series (subject to availability), free of charge. And, since the October 5th race starts North of us, we hope you'll take advantage of our offer in order to participate in the joint race.
