About a month ago, we had to clear the 3D printer area of the basement to make way for a replacement HVAC drain line. Sometime during the week it was in storage, the motherboard on my printer decided to die. After consulting with Elegoo tech support, I ordered a new motherboard. I also ordered a new Saturn 4 Ultra 16K. The motherboard repair worked, so now I have two working resin printers. Meanwhile, the kids were griping that I was always printing models for folks, but never any toys for them. Because Elegoo was having a good spring discount, we also got a new Centauri Carbon FDM printer.

Here's the new printer complex. I'll be getting back to drawing up new projects soon.

It's been an "interesting" month. Had to dismantle the 3D printer area to make way for a new HVAC drainage pipe. We built it back better, so that the printer table is now on top of properly leveled metal shelving instead of saw horses.

Unfortunately, the printer's motherboard decided to call it quits over the week and a half that we had it in storage. Diagnosis took a while, but a new motherboard is on the way. Meanwhile, Elegoo was having a pretty good sale. A new Saturn 4 Ultra 16K resin printer arrived today, and a Centauri Carbon FDM printer is on its way.

Also, turkey season is coming. A fan holder I've designed was on the first batch of prints, along with a few airhorns and other locomotive details.

New improvements to the steam tractor model: redone control levers that replicate johnson bars, improved smokebox door, now opening on hinges, and interior flue details.

Now available: the reaper/binder. Here it's shown in operational configuration, with a tractor tongue on the front. The kit includes a horse tongue and yoke, as well as wheels and tongue for road transportation between fields. $20 for the unpainted kit in HO scale. Also available in O.
