For me, traveling is all about the food… and the adventure, of course. 🍽️ 🗺️
While wandering around Sarasota with my family, we stumbled across a place called Mouthole BBQ. I’ll be honest… the name alone had me curious. 🤔
If you’re easily offended, this might not be your vibe. But if you appreciate great food, a little sarcasm, and a restaurant that doesn’t take itself too seriously, you’ll probably love it.
The vibe is somewhere between a neighborhood tattoo shop and your favorite hole-in-the-wall BBQ joint. It’s laid-back, a little edgy, and completely unapologetic. Right up my alley. 😜
The food? 🤤 Top tier. 👌🏻
Think juicy smashburgers, slow-smoked brisket, pulled pork, smoked sausage, ribs… basically comfort food done right…..with an edge. Just the way I like it. We had seven people with us (including a child), and every single plate was cleaned.
I was so hungry that I completely forgot to take pictures of everyone’s food… so you’ll just have to admire my daughter’s pulled pork mac & cheese with the skull-shaped cornbread. ✨💀✨
Finding places like this is my favorite and definitely makes the trip. We will be talking about this place for a while.
Skip the chain restaurants and eat where the locals eat—you usually won’t regret it.
