RACHAEL

Before she became a SistaGirl, she was simply a girl who wanted the whole truth.

Rachael Lee Wallace-DeVille has been listening to her family’s stories since she was old enough to understand them. By four, she’s keeping a family calendar. As she grows, those calendars become journals, and her curiosity becomes something more: a lifelong devotion to family, truth, and the people she loves.

Growing up in Honeycomb, Rachael knows that family doesn’t always look the same—and that’s perfectly fine. She has four parents, five siblings, grandparents and Elders who help shape her, and a community that teaches her that no child should ever be abandoned.

Then there are Aaron and Devin.

Aaron is bold, protective, and impossible to ignore. Devin is quiet, thoughtful, and steady. Their friendship with Rachael begins in childhood and grows alongside them, eventually becoming something none of them could have imagined when they first met.

Through CELEBRATION, school, family traditions, friendships, first loves, the formation of the Poly Circle, and the joys and growing pains of adolescence, Rachael learns that loving people doesn’t mean choosing between them. It means telling the truth, honoring boundaries, and making room for everyone who belongs.

But growing up means discovering that even a foundation built on love can be tested.

From the little girl with a construction-paper calendar to the young woman beginning to understand the life she wants—a life filled with love, family, children, and writing—Rachael’s story is a journey of becoming.

This is where her story begins.
