🎀 October is almost here—and Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a good reminder to take care of the girls!

Breast cancer doesn’t always announce itself with a lump. Knowing what is normal for YOUR breasts can help you recognize changes that deserve a closer look.

💕 WATCH FOR:
• A new lump in the breast or underarm
• Swelling or thickening in part of the breast
• Changes in breast size or shape
• Dimpling or irritation of the skin
• Redness, flaking, or thickening of the ni**le or breast skin
• A ni**le that suddenly turns inward
• Ni**le discharge, especially if it is bloody or not related to breastfeeding
• Persistent pain or another unusual change

🎀 And remember: many breast changes are caused by conditions that are NOT cancer. But any new or unusual change is worth discussing with your healthcare provider.

Mammograms can detect breast cancer before a lump can be felt or symptoms appear. For women at average risk, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommends screening mammograms every 2 years from ages 40–74. Your personal screening plan may be different depending on your risk factors and family history, so talk with your healthcare provider.

💗 Know your normal.
💗 Keep your screenings up to date.
💗 Know your family history.
💗 Don't ignore changes.
💗 Speak up and get checked.

Your bra fitting can help you get to know your breasts—but it is NOT a substitute for a mammogram or medical examination.
