It is with profound sadness that I share the recent death of my brother, Jon Trudell, owner of Tin Roof Antiques. He has repeatedly returned to the shop over the last 7 years after multiple health issues. He was a fixture at local estate sales and was still "running" sales as recent as a few weeks ago. His shop was a fixture in the Maplewood area for over 47 years (next door to mine) and it was filled with typical older things, but also some of the coolest and rarest of items! He had an eye for the more unusual collectibles and loved buying things that weren't run of the mill!! He loved what he did and could never imagine retiring.

Both Tin Roof Antiques and White Swan Antiques are closed for the immediate future but we will reopen in a few months for a going out of business sale. Thank you for all the years some of you have supported us and I'm so sad to be closing, but it just wouldn't be the same without Jon next door!!

There will be memorial service at St. Cronan Church, 1202 S. Boyle Ave., St. Louis, MO 63110 at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, with visitation before Mass from 5:00-6:00 pm.

I am so sorry to report that we will have to cancel our hours this weekend due to a family emergency. I will keep you posted if we add any additional official hours later in the month.

Summer is here and we're looking forward to our June days open!!

It’s May Day and we’re OPEN!
Here’s our schedule for May! We just brought in 2 wardrobes, oak kidney shaped desk with chair, and lots more! Tin Roof is offering 20% in their shop only for items $10 and over.

Spring has sprung; but it's Missouri, so we could still have a little winter! But that aside, we're looking forward to Easter and our April hours! We have been buying a lot "smalls" lately and the stores will be full of all kinds of goodies. We hope to see soon!

After a wonderful visit from our son, it's time to get back to work!!Our days open in March will be, March 6/7 and March 13/14. Been doing some buying and hope to see you this month!

Dear Friends,
Here is the February 2026 calendar for hours for White Swan Antiques and Tin Roof Antiques.

Also, beginning in March 2026, we will be reducing our official hours, and will be open the first and second consecutive Friday (10-1:30 pm)/Saturday (10-4 pm) of each month. Our days open in March will be, March 6/7 and March 13/14. I will post our usual monthly reminder at the beginning of March.
