Since 1987, Tom has built something special. Beyond the fly rods, reels, and flies, Hargrove’s has always been about people, the conversations around the wood stove and claw foot table, the stories shared at the counter, and the lifelong memories made on the water chasing fish. Every person who walks through the door adds to that legacy.
Over the past few years, this page has tried to mimic that feeling of walking through the front door of the shop for the first time. From customer catches, fly tying nights, community events, new and exciting top of the line fly fishing equipment, wood stove chili, and everything in between, the goal has always been to share what makes T. Hargrove special.
What started as a way to connect with customers beyond the four walls of the shop has grown into a community reaching anglers across the country and around the world. Through 1,000 posts, tens of millions of views, one thing has remained the same: the people.
If you’ll allow me to break the fourth wall for a moment, it has been an incredible honor to behind the camera and keyboard for the past four years. This milestone is dedicated to Tom, the employees past and present, and every customer, friend, and follower who has helped curate the legendary T. Hargrove Fly Fishing here on instagram.
