Last weekend (August 8th, 2015) Oregon SB 941 went into effect. This bill requires all private party gun sales to complete a transfer of fi****ms by appearing with the transferee before a gun dealer (FFL) such as myself to request a criminal background check. There are exceptions for family members, law enforcement, and inherited fi****ms. I have opposed this bill from the very beginning. I have repeatedly called, written, and emailed all my state reps. as did many of you.

Although I could, I refuse to make a profit from this unjust law as I do NOT believe in it. For anyone who comes to me and chooses to follow the law and have a background check done for a private party sale; I will do the background check at my cost $10.

I have always and will continue to do all other transfers for $25, one of the best prices around! For those who refer someone to me, your next transfer will be $20.
