🚨 WE ARE OFFICIALLY TRYING TO START A KINDNESS PROBLEM. 🚨

A big one.

The kind where people start saying, “Did you see what they did?” and for once it’s not about drama, a suspicious Facebook post, or somebody parking crooked at Family Fare.

For the month of June, we want to turn random acts of kindness into a full-blown small-town chain reaction. ❤️

Here’s how it works:

Do a random act of kindness.
Take a picture.
Post it in the comments below.

You’ll be entered into a drawing for:

⛽ $50 GAS CARD plus a 🛒 $50 GROCERY CARD!!!

Your act of kindness can be BIG or tiny. We are not asking you to build a hospital with your bare hands.

It can be:

✨ Picking up trash
✨ Returning a cart that isn’t yours
✨ Buying someone coffee
✨ Leaving a kind note
✨ Smiling and waving at a stranger like you’re the unofficial mayor
✨ Holding the door
✨ Donating items
✨ Helping a neighbor
✨ Checking on someone who’s been quiet
✨ Paying for someone’s meal
✨ Letting someone go ahead of you in line
✨ Bringing treats to work
✨ Complimenting someone’s hair, shoes, dog, lawn, or emotional support fountain pop
✨ Leaving quarters at the laundromat
✨ Taking flowers to someone
✨ Dropping off snacks to first responders, teachers, nurses, coworkers, or anyone currently held together by caffeine and hope
✨ Choosing kindness when your attitude was already halfway in the ditch

It doesn’t have to cost money.
It doesn’t have to be perfect.
It doesn’t have to be dramatic.

Although if you do make it dramatic, we support your journey.

You can enter as often as you are kind ❤️.

We want these comments FULL of kindness. We want people scrolling and thinking, “Well dang, maybe I should go do something nice too.”

That’s the whole point.

One kind act becomes two.
Two become ten.
Ten become a town full of people acting suspiciously wholesome and slightly unhinged.

So go do some good.

💛 THE “KEEP THE CHANGE” JAR HAS OFFICIALLY ARRIVED 💛

We hear it daily at Kindness Counts Thrift:

“I feel like I’m robbing you.”
“These prices are too cheap.”
“No seriously… keep the change.”

First of all, thank you for not actually robbing us. We love that for everyone. 😂

Second, we decided those little leftover coins and dollars needed a purpose besides rattling around in the register like loose grocery cart money.

So we made an official Keep the Change Jar.

Anytime someone chooses to say “keep the change,” we’ll toss it in the jar. No pressure. No guilt. No thrift store toll booth. You may absolutely keep your change and go live your best quarter-filled life.

But when someone does leave it behind, that money will go toward buying gift cards, gas cards, snacks, groceries, coffee, or whatever little surprise we can use to spread kindness around the community.

Basically:
your spare change can become tiny chaos with a heart. 💛

Our prices may make you question if we understand math.

And now your “keep the change” moments can help fuel random acts of kindness all over town.

Small change. Big kindness. Mildly unhinged delivery method.

Kindness Counts Thrift is opening early today because apparently we have appointed ourselves the official Potty Pit Stop with benefits.

🚨 OFFICIAL EYERENE MEDICAL UPDATE 🚨

We regret to inform the public that Eyerene has been medically cleared to return to society.

Nobody signed off on this emotionally, but here we are.

After her eye surgery, Eyerene had a cataract follow-up and the doctor said her vision is “improving.” She is stubborn as all get out and hasn't scheduled her next eye yet.

Next up was her knee replacement consultation. The doctor said her knees are “vintage,” “fragile,” and “making a noise usually only heard when someone opens a shed door that hasn’t seen WD-40 since the Bush administration.”

Eyerene declined surgery and requested “two Aleve, a porch chair, and everyone to stop acting foolish.”

Then came the hearing aid evaluation.

Turns out Eyerene can’t hear normal words like “hello,” “thank you,” or “this is medically concerning.”

But she can hear:
👂 gossip from three counties over
👂 Cody sighing in another zip code
👂 someone whispering “clearance” behind a closed door
👂 a Facebook comment being typed incorrectly

Her blood pressure was normal until Cody entered the room.

Then the cuff inflated, beeped twice, whispered “absolutely not,” and filed for workers’ comp.

The nurse asked if Cody was a known trigger.

Her official diagnosis:

Medically stable. Spiritually invasive. Emotionally backed by several grandmas.

Please stop in and welcome Eyerene back to Kindness Counts Thrift.

Do not ask about her medication list.
