**1972 Gibson SG Standard | Walnut** 🎸

There's just something about a vintage SG that gets me every time.

That unmistakable double-cutaway silhouette, the warm Walnut finish, and a pair of Gibson Tarback humbuckers give this '72 Standard a personality all its own.

At just 7 lb 0.9 oz, it feels fantastic in the hands, and those pickups deliver everything from rich, expressive cleans to the kind of gritty rock tones that made the SG a legend.

Over 50 years of Gibson history, all wrapped up in one seriously cool guitar.

Available now at **Wood's Guitar Shop**.

Some guitars just have *that look*. This is definitely one of them. 🔥

This Suhr Modern Antique in Burgundy Mist Metallic was built as an **Eddie's Guitars Exclusive**, and the combination is something special.

The roasted flame maple neck is absolutely gorgeous, but it's the finish that really pulls everything together. Suhr's medium factory aging includes subtle lacquer checking that's much more noticeable in person than photographs can capture. It gives the guitar a beautifully broken-in personality without going overboard.

And underneath all that vintage character? Serious modern versatility.

A pair of Suhr Thornbuckers, a V63 middle pickup, coil splitting, a blower switch, 24 stainless steel frets, and a Floyd Rose make this one much more than a pretty face.

**Vintage soul. Modern muscle.**

Excellent condition, complete with its original hardshell case and factory documentation.

Yesterday, my Shabat Lion Deluxe went under the knife, and today we’re hearing the results! 🎸🔥

We swapped in a custom set of vintage-inspired Jazzmaster pickups from Righteous Sound Pickups, paired with an Emerson Custom wiring harness featuring 50s-style wiring.

The goal was to bring out more warmth, clarity, and character while keeping that open, articulate single-coil response. I’m really digging how it turned out!

Huge thanks to Josh at Righteous Sound Pickups for his craftsmanship and to Mitch and the crew at Emerson Custom for making some seriously excellent electronics. Both are great people doing great things for the guitar community.

And for those wondering about the amp, that’s my Amplified Nation Wonderland Overdrive handling the amplification duties. An incredible amp that really lets the character of a guitar shine through.

Now, enough talking. Let’s hear it! 🎶

Some amps have a sound. Others have a feel that keeps you playing.

The Fuchs ODS Classic 50W is all about that connection. Big, dimensional cleans, rich harmonic detail, and smooth, singing overdrive that responds beautifully to your touch.

Hand-built boutique character with serious versatility. Two channels, dual gain boosts, and plenty of tonal shaping make this one equally comfortable delivering warm, articulate cleans or thick, sustaining lead tones.

This one's in excellent condition and comes with its original five-button footswitch, owner's manual, and even the original box.

Not exactly the quiet type. 🔥

There's something wonderfully unapologetic about this Shabat Cheetah. The heavily aged black nitro finish, exposed mahogany, and unmistakable silhouette give it an attitude all its own.

And underneath all that beautifully worn character? Some seriously impressive craftsmanship.

Part of Shabat's 2026 NAMM Collection, this Cheetah #012 brings together a mahogany body, hard maple neck, ebony fingerboard, Kloppmann Sinners and Saints humbuckers, stainless steel frets, and a Floyd Rose.

It's that combination of vintage soul and modern muscle that makes guitars like this so much fun. There's a ton of personality here, but just as much thought behind the details.

Huge appreciation for what Shabat is creating. This is exactly the kind of stuff that keeps us excited about guitars. 🤘

Three boutique names. One incredible guitar. A whole new voice in the works. 🎸

Our Shabat Lion Deluxe is getting a complete pickup and electronics overhaul, bringing together some seriously talented people in the guitar world.

🎸 Shabat Guitars — The foundation. An exceptional boutique instrument with the craftsmanship, character, and attention to detail that make these guitars so special.

⚡ Righteous Sound Pickups — Josh has wound us a custom set of vintage-style Jazzmaster pickups, incorporating different magnet types to fine-tune the response and tame harshness without sacrificing the clarity and character we love about this style of pickup.

🔧 Emerson Custom — We’re pairing those pickups with four Premier Pro 500k pots, two .022 Bumble Bee capacitors, and classic ’50s wiring for a thoughtfully assembled, vintage-inspired electronics package.

Three companies that take their craft seriously, each contributing something special to this build.

The goal? Rich, articulate, dynamic tone with plenty of warmth, clarity, and personality. We can’t wait to hear how everything comes together.

Here’s a question for the tone chasers: What’s the single best pickup or electronics upgrade you’ve ever made to a guitar?

And if your own guitar could use some attention, Wood’s Guitar Shop offers pickup replacement, harness upgrades, and other guitar electronics work. We’d love to help you find the voice you’re looking for.

Some pedals give you overdrive. The Origin Effects RevivalDRIVE gives you the character of an entire amp pushed to its sweet spot. 🔥

From the touch-sensitive grit of a vintage valve amp to the tighter, more immediate response of a solid-state rectifier, the RevivalDRIVE captures the feel, sag, harmonic richness, and dynamics that make a great cranked amplifier so addictive.

Two independent channels, extensive tone-shaping controls, and an impressive range of drive textures make this one seriously capable piece of gear.

Big amp character. Pedalboard convenience. No compromises on feel.

Down-tuned? Keep the weight. Keep the definition.

The Black Widow Volta is a modern humbucker set for heavier tones with clarity. Its more even midrange keeps the sound focused, giving heavy chords room to hit hard and individual notes room to speak.

Brand-new bridge and neck set · Single-conductor wiring · 12.6 kΩ bridge / 7.9 kΩ neck
Two-year maker warranty, provided the pickups haven’t been tampered with; removing the covers voids coverage.

The walnut does most of the talking here.

This Sadowsky MetroLine Modern 24 is #022/100 from the German-built 2021 Limited Edition series. The extraordinary AAAA Claro Walnut top immediately catches the eye, while the roasted Alpine Maple neck, Ebony fingerboard, and versatile Sadowsky electronics make it much more than a pretty instrument.

Offered in Excellent condition with its original Sadowsky gig bag, numbered certificate, specification sheet, branded strap, and accompanying factory materials.

Take a closer look at the figuring and numbered headstock in the photos.

Some guitars make an impression before you even play the first note. Others make you want to keep playing long after you’ve picked them up. 🎸

This beautiful 2019 Lowden S-50 is one of those instruments.

Handcrafted in Northern Ireland, this S-50 pairs a stunning Master Grade Sinker Redwood top with Master Grade Madagascar Ebony back and sides. An extraordinary combination of tonewoods in an instrument built with the attention to detail Lowden is known for.

There’s a richness and character to this guitar that’s difficult to capture in words, so I figured I’d let it do a little talking for itself.

Just a casual playing session, recorded right here at Wood’s Guitar Shop. No studio production, just the instrument doing what it was built to do.
