🐝💛 At the heart and soul of Bee Happy Consignment is something much bigger than a consignment sale. It’s our ability to give back.
Most of our consignors choose to donate their unsold items at the end of our events. They trust us to make sure those items end up in the hands of people who truly need them, through reputable nonprofit organizations where they are given away, not resold.
Following our recent Selinsgrove sale, THOUSANDS of items were donated to local organizations doing incredible work right here in Central Pennsylvania. 💛
🐝 Dwell Orphan Care & The Hope Chest
Thousands of children’s items went to Dwell, an incredible nonprofit supporting foster, adoptive, and kinship families.
Many children enter foster care unexpectedly, sometimes with nothing more than the clothes on their backs. Dwell helps ease those difficult transitions by providing clothing, shoes, hygiene essentials, toys, books, and comfort items to children entering new homes.
Their Hope Chest program helps ensure that children have the necessities they deserve while giving caregivers the resources and support they need to focus on what matters most: making those children feel safe, loved, and welcomed.
Imagine knowing that the clothes your child has outgrown could help another child feel a little more comfortable during one of the most uncertain moments of their life. 🥹
🐝 Danville State Hospital – Dress to Heal Closet
Women’s clothing and shoes were donated to the Dress to Heal Closet, helping provide clothing and personal essentials for women receiving care. We love knowing these items can offer a little extra comfort, dignity, and confidence to women who may be navigating difficult seasons of life.
🐝 Thrifty Threads – Lewisburg Area School District
Public school educators have always been near and dear to our mission and vision at Bee Happy Consignment. Melissa has always said that teachers are her people, and we love finding meaningful ways to give back to the classrooms and educators who pour so much into our children every single day.
Books and games from the end of our sale were donated to help restock classroom libraries and provide fun, engaging options for indoor recess. Crafts and accessories went to Linntown’s positive behavior store, Thrifty Threads. As a former public school teacher herself, Melissa knows firsthand how much educators spend out of their own pockets to create welcoming, enriching classrooms.
Supporting the people who show up for our children every day will always be something we’re proud to do. 💛
This is why our donation process matters so much to us.
At every Bee Happy sale, we intentionally seek out nonprofit partners and community organizations where our donations can make the greatest impact. None of this would be possible without our consignors. You could choose to take every remaining item home, but so many of you choose to give instead.
That generosity reaches far beyond the walls of our sale.
We’re incredibly grateful for the organizations doing this important work every single day, and we’re proud that our community of local moms gets to play a part in supporting them.
Our consignors bring the items. Our nonprofit partners bring the love. Together, we’re making a difference right here at home. 🐝💛
