It is that time of year! We are officially accepting summer consignments with no plan to close over mud season. That means bring all biking, camping, and fishing gear between now and late September before we switch back to winter in October.
I can’t believe I said next winter already, yuck, I’m ready to go biking.
Consignments are always evaluated case by case so if we said bring it back in a few months, it will still need to pass inspection.

If there are no tubes, find another way to enjoy the river. Go skip some rocks, shoot, count the rocks. If you’re feeling lazy, go sit on a rock. But DO NOT hit your head on the rocks. They’re not soft.

If you love to talk about mountain bikes or skis and enjoy helping others find gear and get outside, this position is for you.

We are looking for a smart, helpful individual who would like to work in a fun and at times fast paced environment. The position is part time or full time depending on the season, with hours between 10am-7pm (on powder days we open noonish).

JOB DESCRIPTION
-Assist customers in selecting outdoor/sporting goods
- Greet customers and offer your help
- Operate cash register
- Take consignments and explain consignment process to customers
- Organize merchandise and clean sales floor
-Be a part of a rad team of folks who want to get people outdoors!

QUALIFICATIONS:
-Knowledge on skis and snowboards, bikes, and other sporting equipment a plus but not required
- Enthusiasm for outdoor activities and sports (or enthusiasm to learn about them!)
-Able to take initiative and find tasks without prompting
-Friendly and respectful to all regardless of background or identity
-Reliable
-Comfortable working in-person and following safety standards

Our Story

Boomerang Sports Exchange is a family owned consignment store located in Steamboat Springs, CO. Since 2010, we have shared our passion for life outside and the gear that helps us live it. Come see us in the winter for deals on skis and jackets and in the summer for bikes and other outdoor gear.
